Ways to Pay

Credit Card

Debit/Credit Card

You can pay for services using a debit or credit card. Your therapist should always have your most current card on file so payments are made on time and you don't build up a balance. If your card is expired, please fill out a new payment form (under forms - intake forms) and email to your therapist ASAP.

Health Insurance and Superbill

For the Love of Therapy does take certain health insurance (CIGNA, AETNA, United Healthcare, Oxford, Oscar, Blue Cross Blue Shield). However, if your insurance is not listed and allows you to be reimbursed for mental health expenses then you can request your therapist send you a Superbill. This is a form that outlines the services you have received at For the Love of Therapy. It includes dates and places of session, description of session, diagnostic codes, and cost of services.

Once you have paid for services in full, the therapist can send you a superbill that you then submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. If this option works for you, please know you will be paying for therapy services upfront and then use a superbill to be reimbursed for those payments. Sound good? OK. Before using this option, please contact your health insurance provider to be sure your mental health services with For the Love of Therapy will be covered. Please note that not every diagnosis is covered by every health insurance company.

Credit Card

HSA/FSA Cards

If submitting a Superbill isn't your cup of tea, you can use your HSA or FSA card to pay for services as long as mental health services are covered under the health insurance providing you the HSA or FSA card. If you have one of these cards and would like to use them to pay for therapy services, please call your health insurance provider to be sure you are covered.

Donations

For the Love of Therapy accepts donations to help cover the cost of therapy for those who are unable to pay. If you would like to make a donation, email fortheloveoftherapy@gmail.com, type "donation" in the subject line, and you will receive a phone call to help you help others!

Sliding Scale

Let's be honest... Investing in therapy is investing in yourself and your life. Sometimes that investment can be challenging to continue. If you are in a challenging financial space at this time, please do not hesitate to contact your therapist and ask about payment options.
